Posted on Jourdyn WVerified An Unforgettable Experience Me and my sister took our mom on a cruise to the Bahamas for her 60th birthday and I booked this tour for us to do while we were in Nassau. I am so glad I booked this for us because we had so much fun! First off, the drinks were amazing and we loved hearing the history of the island and exploring Nassau. Shad and Kyle were amazing guides! They were very informative and kept things entertaining, especially Shad! Whenever we come back to Nassau, we are definitely booking this tour again! If you want to be entertained while learning about the rich culture of The Bahamas and taste some delicious rum while exploring Nassau, this is definitely the tour for you!Posted on Pilotwife27Verified Sites and bites We enjoyed this excursion, especially because the small group size added value to the experience. The food and drinks were great too! We started with two conch fritters and two chicken wings, followed by a drink. Then, we walked to several historical sites before having in two pieces of chocolate of our choice. After that, we had a scoop of ice cream and finished with a meal of steamed chicken, rice, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and what was essentially rum punch.Overall, I think this tour is a good value, though it did feel a bit long for me—I started to feel tired after about two hours. My suggestion would be to shorten the duration and lower the price. Additionally, the starting location could be more convenient, as it felt a bit far from where we were. That said, we had a wonderful experience with Jason, our guide. He was not only knowledgeable about the history but also shared personal stories about his life, which made the tour feel more engaging and personal. One thing to note is that the food tour consisted mostly of small bites, random desserts, and one larger meal. While everything tasted good, I would recommend having the main meal before dessert at the end. Also, the starting location seemed to be switched last minute and was further from the port, which was a bit inconvenient.Posted on Kevin MVerified Nice History tour Nice excursion. I'd recommend advertising it more of a history tour. That was the first ~2 hours. The rum tasting didn't really occur until the very end at the speakeasy. Also includes thimble sized samples of wine and moonshine. Glad I did it, but was hoping for a little more RUM focused given it's the first word in the tour.Posted on BunnyVerified FANTASTIC FUN TOUR Cody was fantastic gave us some local knowledge with flair. Enjoyed the speak easy we had allot of fun. Highly recommend this tour.Posted on Alana SVerified Fun walking tour We had an incredible time on the Rum walking tour! Shad our tour guide was so fun, he is very passionate about his job and filled us with so much information about the Bahamas! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun filled afternoon in NassauPosted on Compass20477367226Verified Worth experiencing The tour was really good and Shad was great! Talked about a lot of history about the island. I would recommend and go on tour again when visiting!Posted on Teresa KVerified Rum your gone right Shad is an amazing tour guide, historian, comedian. Great tour , learned a lot about Nassau history and, of course, rum.Posted on VernonR187Verified Absorb some Rum and History of Nassau We had a Great Time with our Guide Jason. We were in a group of 12 people. You will learn more than you can remember. Everything about the John Watling Distillery, History of Nassau, and the buildings, and locations. Taste and learn the Rums color and flavors. Thanks to Jason for an Excellent 4-hour tour. I liked that we started at the top of the hill and walked down, during the tourPosted on yasamin pVerified Splendid time of rum and history I had such a lovely time learning about Bahamian pirate and colonial history. I cant quite remember my guides name (Jonathan, Jason?!) …but this is a good sign that the rum tour did the job! Highly recommend for first timers here in Nassau.
